We respect intellectual-property rights and expect users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how we respond.
We have not yet registered a Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office, so this policy describes the takedown process we operate. It is not a claim to safe harbour under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
1. Scope
LessonSmith lets users submit inputs and generate lesson content. If you believe material on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, you can ask us to remove it using the process below.
2. Copyright agent

3. How to file a takedown notice
Include all of the following:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed;
- identification of the material and enough detail for us to locate it, such as the account, URL, or a description;
- your contact information: name, address, phone, and email;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf, and where necessary provide a power of attorney.
Send it to the agent identified above. You acknowledge that knowingly submitting a false or misleading claim may expose you to legal liability and other remedies available under applicable law.
4. What we do on a valid notice
We will, as appropriate, remove or disable access to the material, notify the affected user, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers where required.
5. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the agent above. Include your signature; the material and where it appeared; a statement made under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your contact details.
- If you are outside the United States and are content for the matter to be handled under Kenyan law, add your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
- If you want to file a statutory counter-notice under U.S. law, add instead your consent to the jurisdiction of the United States federal district court for the district where you live, or, if you live outside the United States, of any judicial district in which we may be found, and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the notice.
We may restore the material as permitted by law.
6. Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be suspended or terminated (see Terms Section 10).
7. Changes
We may update this policy, and we will revise the effective date above as appropriate.
