Acceptable Use Policy · LessonSmith
DRAFT (not legal advice). This is a working draft to match the planned product. It is a template, not lawyer-drafted. Have a qualified lawyer review and finalize it before publication. This policy forms part of the Terms of Use.
This policy sets the rules for using LessonSmith ("the Service"). Breaking it may lead to content removal, rate-limiting, suspension or termination (see Terms Section 10).
1. Account and access integrity
You may not:
- share, resell, sublicense or transfer your account or access beyond your tier;
- create multiple accounts to evade limits, bans or free-tier caps;
- attempt to bypass authentication, tier gating, usage caps or rate limits.
2. Security and abuse
You may not:
- probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission, or access data that is not yours, including other users' records;
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or build a competing dataset or model from the Service or its outputs;
- overload, flood, or run automated or bulk requests against the Service or its AI endpoints;
- introduce malware, or attempt prompt injection or other manipulation to exfiltrate secrets, bypass safeguards or alter system behaviour.
3. Content rules
You may not submit, generate or distribute content that:
- is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, harassing or sexually exploitative, especially anything involving minors;
- contains learners' or other third parties' personal data: names, admission or registration numbers, contact details, health or special-educational-needs information, behaviour records, or assessment results attributable to a named learner. Describe your class in general terms instead, for example "a mixed-ability Grade 6 class of 40";
- violates someone's intellectual-property or privacy rights (see Copyright / DMCA Policy).
4. Responsible use of AI output
- AI output may be inaccurate or unsuitable. You must review and verify every generation before classroom or other use.
- Do not present AI output in ways that are deceptive or that misrepresent its origin where disclosure is required.
5. Fair use of resources
Usage is subject to your tier's caps and to per-user and per-IP rate limits that protect the Service and other users. Automated or excessive use that degrades the Service for others is prohibited.
6. Reporting
Report abuse, security issues or violations to support@lessonsmith.ai. We may remove content or restrict accounts to protect the Service and its users.
7. Enforcement and changes
We enforce this policy at our reasonable discretion. If we update it, we will revise the effective date above.
